À l’occasion des Jeux Olympiques de 2024 à Paris, le monde découvre la boxeuse Imane Khelif. Elle incarne un symbole puissant de ténacité et de courage. En décrochera la médaille d’or et visibilisera une nouvelle définition du genre féminin, loin des stéréotypes exotiques et érotisés encore beaucoup trop véhiculés dans l’imaginaire occidental.

Particulièrement inspirée par cette femme, l’artiste Zohra Hassani investira son corps pour lui rendre hommage à travers la série : « Une femme en or », comprenant deux photographies performatives intitulées La naissance d’une légende et Mon combat.

At the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris, the world discovered the boxer Imane Khelif. She is a powerful symbol of tenacity and courage. Imane Khelif won the gold medal and gave visibility to a new definition of the female gender, far removed from the exotic and eroticised stereotypes that are still far too prevalent in the Western imagination.

Particularly inspired by this woman, the artist Zohra Hassani will invest her body to pay tribute to her through the series: ‘Une femme en or’, comprising two performance photographs entitled La naissance d’une légende and Mon combat.
